Get a good cold glue pull

I’ll post a video up but here are some tips for successful cold glue pulls.

  1. Clean the panel well. Start off with rubbing compound. It’ll make it easier the clean the cold glue residue off and help the glue grab. Then use rubbing alcohol to make sure it’s free of wax, silicone etc.

  2. Flash heat the ding/dent. This is why I call it hybrid glue. It’s not hot, it’s not cold. It’s inbetween. The heat really allows it to grab hard. Not too hot, just warm. 80-85 degrees seems to be the sweet spot.

  3. Quick flash the glue.

  4. Roll the cold glue into the dent in a circular motion for a 2 seconds and pull.

  5. Rinse and repeat. P.S: The bigger the tab the bigger the grab, but small tabs can still pull. It all depends on the prep and the cold glue being used. Also, just like hot glue there are limitations to what cold glue can do but as you can see the cold glue is getting bette and better. That will keep being the case. Video to follow.
